Model 40P Diaphragm Pump
Model 40P handling primary and thickened sewage sludge. Replaced rotary lobe pump. As seen on the cover of Pumps and Systems magazine, February 1998!
Ramparts Diaphragm Pumps

The rugged construction of the Ramparts Diaphragm Pumps stand up to the abuses of the most demanding sludge and slurry applications, and they overcome the 'high-wear' problems commonly found in air driven diaphragm and progressive cavity pumps.

The Air Driven Diaphragm Pump is capable of operating dry, on suction lifts of up to 20 feet, and handling high solids content (to approximately 70%). Depending on pump model, they will pass up to 3" diameter solids!

Pump stroke rate, discharge stroke time, suction drive pressure, and discharge drive pressure can all be adjusted independently. Pumps will easily handle the heaviest sludges at their rate of accumulation in clarifiers and settling basins.

The Ramparts diaphragm pump operate simply: compressed air applied to the top forces the diaphragm down, discharging liquid; the solenoid is then signaled by an adjustable controller to halt incoming air; compressed air is directed into the bottom of the air cylinder, raising the air cylinder piston and retracting the diaphragm, filling the pump cavity for the next stroke; used air is exhausted to the atmosphere; and the cycle repeats.

Ramparts Air Driven Diaphragm Pump Benefits:

  • Less air required compared to spring versions
  • Lower vertical height
  • Quiet operation
  • 20' suction lift capability
  • Less maintenance and down time
  • Simply and easy maintenance
  • Easy access to check valves... no tools required
  • A total of only 3 moving parts
  • Virtual elimination of muffler icing
  • Handles larger solids
Centrifugal Wet-End Cutaway Ramparts Centrifugal Pumps

Ramparts Pro-Flo Elastomer Lined End-Suction Centrifugal Pumps are specialized for abrasive/corrosive applications, offering outstanding resistance to a wide range of chemicals and corrosives, both acid and alkali. And they feature a unique hydraulic design incorporating tangential discharge which guarantees continuous pumping performance and efficiency. Pump, base, and guard are epoxy coated for external protection. Pumps are capable of handling up to 1" spherical solids, depending on pump size. Pumps are available in four sizes, 2x1-1/2x8-1/2, 3x2x10-3/4, 4x3x11-1/2, and 6x4x12.

Ramparts AVS Pro-Flo PVDF Kynar Lined End-Suction Centrifugal Pumps are specialized for highly corrosive services. Inside, the Kynar lining has outstanding resistance to acids, alkalis, and many solvents... even at elevated temperatures. Outside, a special double epoxy coated, cast iron guards the pump exterior.Pump accepts single or double mechanical seals, or packed box. Pumps are available in two sizes, 1-1/2x1x6 and 3x1-1/2x6.
