GATOR-GRATE is a glass reinforced resin bonded plastic grating. GATOR-GRATE is manufactured by interweaving continuos glass filaments which are impregnated with a thermosetting resin. The interweaving of the wetted glass fibers creates a grating that provides strength in both directions as well as good chemical resistance. The woven panel is then heat cured in a controlled oven. This curing system develops the maximum in chemical resistance and physical properties. GATOR-DECK pultruded grating provides the ultimate combination of strength, corrosion resistance, and structural integrity as a result of the automated pultrusion process. GATOR-DECK has many of the same benefits as GATOR-GRATE, plus: Patented flush-top cross-rod and bearing bar produces a mechanical lock that increases unidirectional strength and enables easy fabrication. Strategically angled lower I-bars allow for easy fluid run-off which aids self-cleaning. Two-part mechanical locking cross-rod provides a mechanical lock at each bearing bar by fitting to a continuos pultruded groove rod interlocked with a spacer bar.
