Method of Stringer (by Others)
Each 4' length comes with four (4) fiberglass heel clamping brackets and four (4) stainless steel nuts, bolts, and washers for through bolting the stringer.
Special walkway widths are available. For dock decking, both EZ-Tread and EZ-Tread Lite are available to twenty (20) feet in length.
Place the heel clamp between support bars, mark the bolt hole location, drill a 1/4" hole through the stringer and install and tighten the bolt. Be sure a washer is under both the bolt head and the nut. Check periodically for tightness.
Follow manufacturer's recommendations when using power tools.
Not all walkways are made as shown due to manufacturing differences. Consult Cortrol for variations and we will adapt installation hardware as needed. Special pricing may be required.
EZ-Tread is not recommended for walkways that flood.
Sure-Grip is not recommended for bare feet.
